Der Beruf der Klavierbauer umfasst nicht nur das Stimmen der Instrumente. Auch Feineinstellungen an der Mechanik, die sogenannte Regulierung, gehören zum Aufgabenbereich. Das Gefüge Klavier arbeitet aufgrund der unterschiedlichen verwendeten Materialien und der enormen Zug- und Druckkräfte ununterbrochen. Daher kann es dazu kommen, dass sich das Spielgefühl verändert und auf einmal als unangenehm empfunden wird.
